Finally, a chat manager that actually makes sense. I used to run 3 or 4 different plugins just for chat formatting, anti-spam, and mentions. SIR replaces all of them perfectly. The config is super clean, and I love the modular system.

It may have been a bit too harsh for a free plugin, but that was my perspective on how the plugin worked at the time. I appreciate BitAspire's polite response and the improvements made to the plugin.

As for the reason I got upset about the lines Croa wrote in the config, depression is not a joke. It is not something “cool” to flex about while many people are genuinely suffering from that condition.

Hopefully the updates and improvements will continue in the future. Thank for the plugin.

Tbh, I feel like ppl just want to hate on anything at this point. I’ve been using SIR since the old 3.0 days, and back then it was a mess, ngl. But seeing how much it has improved, plus all the modularization after sooooooo long, feels really good. Of course there’s still room to improve, but this design is genuinely loved by its users. Don’t like it? Fair enough, go use another plugin. But if you actually want to help SIR improve, give real feedback, because a negative rating alone isn’t gonna change anything.

The plugin is extremely bloated. It may be powerful, but from a regular server owner's perspective, the configuration experience feels messy and overwhelming.

Settings are spread across too many files, so even simple tasks like changing the chat format or disabling a feature become confusing.

The enable and disable system is also inconsistent because some modules are controlled globally while others have their own separate toggles. I also dislike how the .jar files are scattered everywhere.

There are too many folders and nested files, which creates a terrible experience when using a hosting panel file browser.

The mix of syntaxes is honestly messy, especially the combination of classic color codes and their custom tags. Some parts are also inconsistent, like {player} and {PLAYER}.

Overall, the plugin feels more like a chat framework made specifically for their own server rather than a polished community plugin.

And CroaBeast, the plugin author, gave himself a 5 star review without any explanation. *insert Obama giving medal meme*

He also put "Depressed since 2004" in the config. Sorry if that is actually personal, but putting it in a plugin config as some kind of flex is not cool. I do not know how bro felt writing that, but as someone who has experienced that kind of illness, it feels very out of place.

Plus, no MiniMessage support in 2026 lol.

I really like this plugin! It's neat and I like that you can configure practically everything

finally this new version works amazing on my server , has gui, has a lot of customization , and I can change it whatever I want, hope it gets more features , like death messages and toast messages AMAZINGGGG

I don't usually give bad reviews to plugins, but this was a special case.

I had great expectations from this plugin, but it was a total mess. Poor documentation, not working reload command, commands not shown in the /sir menu, I wasn't even able to modify the default format for the chat due to the non helpful comments in the configs.

This requires a serious redesign and provide at least a minimum of information in the documentation. The wiki for the chat channels is completely empty.

Pretty useful plugin that has nice modules that allous you to do things normally need an external plugin like mentions or announcer

Great plugin to add additional chat features... plays nicely with townychat and discordsrv.. best bit you can just dump %placeholder% stuff into chat and it will format them so you can test them out quicker ... unlike other chat plugins.

Lemme explain SIR quickly.

S.I.R. is an awesome chat formatting, message alerts, and many more features plugin. It's perfectly working especially on 1.17 and 1.18 where the plugin shows its potential of becoming the most configurable message plugin for free. I'm using S.I.R. for a few weeks and the developer is incredible by his teacher Kihsomray.

There are some pros and cons about the plugin you should know before you install it:

PROS
+ Highly customizable
+ Centered message, gradient/hex message support out of the box
+ Custom advancement messages (this is the first plugin that I know it can do that)
+ Easy to use
+ Lightweight and great coded (0.00% used in Aikar's timings)
+ Shoutout to the developer: Very helpful and I'm very proud of him

CONS
- Lack of documentation for less understandable ones (Not a big deal. I think he told me that docs will be in a few weeks ready)
- Low propagation (Not a problem, just saying. This plugin should be more propagated as its feature neat things and it's working perfectly)
- Maybe add more text and info to the plugin page (Here on SpigotMC)? - THAT'S NOT A PROBLEM!

In nutshell... S.I.R. is a helpful plugin that you can use daily and you will have no problem at all. Good luck CroaBeast. You're making really good progress over time, keep it up.

Very awesome plugin! Author has been working day and night on releasing updates and making sure there are no issues.

Please disregard the review below this one. Plugins are not always something you can just put on your server and expect it to be perfectly set up. The reason for this is to show you the unique features the plugin provides. That way you can decide what you want to keep or not.

In its current state, it honestly deserves to be a premium plugin, but the Croa is nice enough to keep it free to everyone.

Not using this because of the obnoxious defaults this comes with. It's not funny in professional settings. I was confused, the players were confused, if only the defaults were nice and simple so I don't have to hunt and find everything else that may be activated on startup.

This plugin is pretty great at everything it attempts, despite attempting a lot of things. Easy to configure, easy to disable anything you don't need, no issues so far. I like it.

This is a great plugin with many useful features for the server I manage. I originally got it because I needed to replace the long out of date AutoMessage plugin, and this plugin has many other useful features, besides good timed chat announcements. When I needed help with config, I messaged the support channel in the Discord server and the developer was very helpful and quick to respond. This is one of the best plugins I've ever used.

It's great, awesome for custom messasges, cool for chat announcements at the center of the chat, and also has a great support! 100% recommended

Over 300 downloads, 20 active servers, 25 players, and no ratings yet... This makes me sad. This plugin is phenomenal for any server, feature-packed for claiming to be simple (extremely customizable). On top of that, the resource is constantly updated by an amazing author.

In my personal experience, I had an issue with permissions, and Croa quickly located and fixed it. Very difficult to find an author with such a rapid reaction time.

To anyone who is debating getting this plugin, you shouldn't - just get it!
