1. Overview
PixelNick is a nickname system plugin for Minecraft 1.8.8 designed to replicate a Hypixel-style experience.
It allows players to change their nickname, skin, and rank while keeping everything fully synchronized across chat, tab list, nametag, and permissions (via LuckPerms).

The plugin is currently in beta, so features may change and bugs can occur.

2. Requirements
Required

• Minecraft 1.8.8
• Spigot / Paper 1.8.8 server
• LuckPerms plugin

3. Installation

1. Download the plugin .jar
2. Place it inside your server folder:
   /plugins
3. Restart the server
4. Configure the plugin inside:
   /plugins/HypixelNickRemake/config.yml

4. Main Commands
Command Description
/nick Opens the nickname GUI (book menu)
/unnick Removes nickname and restores original identity
/nick random Generates a random nickname
5. Permissions
Main Permission

• hypixelnick.use → Allows access to the nickname system

Rank Permissions

• hypixelnick.rank.vip
• hypixelnick.rank.vipplus
• hypixelnick.rank.mvp
• hypixelnick.rank.mvpplus

These permissions control which ranks a player is allowed to select.

6. Features Explained
Nickname System
Players can select:

• Custom nickname
• Random nickname generator

Nicknames are:

• Checked for duplicates
• Filtered using blacklist
• Stored until reset

Skin System
Players can choose:

• Their real skin
• Steve skin
• Alex skin
• Random skin

Skin changes apply instantly.

Rank System
Players can select available ranks based on permissions.
When a rank is selected:

• LuckPerms group is updated automatically
• Rank is restored on /unnick

GUI System
The plugin uses an interactive book GUI system inspired by Hypixel:

• Easy navigation
• Clean selection menus
• Fully configurable messages

Synchronization
When a player is nicked, the plugin updates:

• Chat display name
• Tab list name
• Nametag above player head

ActionBar (Optional)
While nicked, an optional ActionBar message can be displayed to indicate nickname status.

7. Configuration
The config.yml allows you to customize:

• Messages
• Cooldowns
• Blacklisted nicknames
• ActionBar settings
• GUI text
• System behavior

8. Safety Features

• Nickname blacklist system
• Duplicate nickname prevention
• Cooldown system to prevent spam
• Permission-based restrictions

9. Reset System
When a player uses /unnick:

• Original nickname is restored
• Original skin is restored
• Original rank (LuckPerms group) is restored
• Tab list, chat, and nametag are reset

10. Beta Status
This plugin is currently in beta.
