NPCAlive turns every NPC into a unique character with personality. Befriend them, fall in love, get married, raise children, and watch your family tree grow generation after generation — all inside the game, no mods required. Just Citizens and Vault.

Important Note
Every NPC that is part of NPCAlive will have access to the full plugin logic — relationships, hearts, marriage, children, jobs, studies, social interactions, and all other features described below. This applies exclusively to NPCs obtained through the NPCAlive Shop. Any NPC created externally or through other plugins will not be integrated into the NPCAlive system and will not have access to these features.

Hearts & Relationships
Every interaction with an NPC adds or removes hearts. As hearts accumulate, your relationship evolves through distinct stages:

Gifts affect the NPC's mood: a great gift triggers a joyful jump with particles and sound effects. A bad gift causes rejection with sad animations and particles.

Marriage & Divorce
  • Requires 5,000 hearts and a special craftable wedding ring
  • Marriage ceremony includes fireworks and a server-wide broadcast
  • Divorce costs 5,000 coins and requires confirmation with /npcalive confirm
  • Maximum 1 married NPC per player (configurable)
Family & Genealogy Tree
Build a legacy across generations:

  • Married NPCs can have children through procreation
  • 24-hour real-time pregnancy before birth
  • The player names the baby by typing it in chat
  • NPCs age 1 year per real day, stopping at age 70
  • Full kinship recognition: son/daughter, grandchild, great-grandchild, brother/sister-in-law, niece/nephew
Social Interactions
9 unique interaction types, each with a chance to gain or lose hearts based on the NPC's randomized response. Optional OpenAI (GPT-4o) integration enables AI-generated dynamic dialogue.

⚒️ Job System
5 job types with contracts lasting 6 to 10 hours. When the contract ends, the NPC automatically returns to the player with rewards.

  • Requires at least 1,000 hearts to hire
  • Firing costs 5,500 coins
  • Children (descendants) cannot work
Studies System
Education is available exclusively for NPC children aged 3 years or older.

  • 10 sessions of 60 minutes each to graduate
  • 5,000 coins per session (total: 50,000 coins)
  • Upon graduation, the NPC receives a unique study certificate item
NPC Shop
  • Buy and sell NPCs configured by the admin
  • Each NPC is delivered as a head with a special skin — place it on the ground to summon them
  • Category system for easy browsing
  • Maximum 20 NPCs per player (configurable)
  • You cannot sell an NPC you are married to
The Whistle
A special craftable item that opens a GUI menu with options to:

  • Summon the NPC to your current position
  • Set their home location
  • Send them home / hide them
Family Bag
A shared persistent inventory between the player and their family members (spouse and children). Only family members can access it.

Follow System
  • Activates the NPC to follow you within a 64-block range at 1.1× speed
  • Automatically cancels if the player disconnects
Visual Effects
  • Trail of hearts around the player (toggleable)
  • Particles and sounds on gifts, weddings, and graduations
  • Fireworks during the wedding ceremony
