Elden
Elden Ring inspired RPG progression for Minecraft
Sites of Grace, Runes, stamina combat, dodge rolls, classes, leveling, flasks, custom gear, Ashes of War, and spells.
Short Description
Elden is a Spigot/Paper plugin that transforms Minecraft into an Elden Ring inspired RPG experience.
It adds
Sites of Grace,
Rune-based progression,
stamina combat,
dodge mechanics,
starting classes,
attribute leveling,
flasks,
custom weapons and armor,
Ashes of War, and
spells.
If you want deeper combat, meaningful progression, and a darker action-RPG atmosphere on your server, Elden is built for that.
Public Beta Notice
Elden is currently in its
first public beta release.
The core systems are already playable and designed for real server use, but the plugin is still actively growing.
Balancing, classes, custom gear, Ashes of War, spells, and progression systems may be expanded, refined, or adjusted in future updates.
This release is meant to provide a strong first playable foundation while the plugin continues to evolve.
Overview
Elden is designed for server owners who want more than vanilla survival or simple combat addons.
The plugin creates a complete progression loop where players explore the world, discover checkpoints, collect Runes,
risk losing them on death, recover what they lost, and invest those Runes into a real character build.
Instead of flat progression, Elden gives your server:
- A clear checkpoint and travel system
- A meaningful death and recovery mechanic
- More tactical stamina-based combat
- Class identity and build variety
- Long-term character progression
- A strong Elden Ring inspired atmosphere
Main Features
Sites of Grace
Players can discover, attune, and return to Sites of Grace. These act as progression checkpoints, travel anchors, and important world hubs.
Grace GUI
Right-click a Campfire or Soul Campfire to open the Grace menu. Players can attune a Grace, teleport to unlocked Graces, and access progression related systems.
Rune System
Runes are the main currency of progression. Players can collect them, track them, lose them on death, and recover them from dropped Lost Runes items. Only the original owner can reclaim them.
Stamina Combat
Combat is no longer purely vanilla. Attacks, sprinting, and dodging can consume stamina, forcing players to think more carefully about movement, timing, and weapon choice.
Weapon-Based Combat Stats
Different weapon types can use their own stamina multipliers, attack cooldowns, attack ranges, jump attack values, and poise damage values. This helps combat feel more tactical and gives each weapon category a clearer identity.
Jump Attacks
Jump attacks can deal modified damage depending on weapon type, adding more variety and reward to aggressive melee gameplay.
Poise and Stagger System
Elden includes a poise system that allows enemies or players to be staggered after taking enough poise damage. Stronger weapons and jump attacks can break poise more effectively, adding a satisfying layer of action RPG combat depth.
Dodge Mechanic
Players can dodge with a stamina cost and cooldown. Optional invincibility frames are available to create a more authentic action RPG combat feel.
Default keybind: Shift + F (default offhand swap key)
Vanilla Hunger Replacement
Vanilla hunger can be disabled and replaced with a stamina-focused approach, giving combat a cleaner and more immersive feel. Food can also restore stamina depending on your config.
Direction Boss Bar
A live boss bar compass displays the player’s facing direction and improves orientation while exploring.
Flask System
Players receive:
- Flask of Crimson Tears for healing
- Flask of Cerulean Tears for resource recover
Flasks are integrated into the progression loop and can be refilled at Sites of Grace.
Torrent
Players can obtain the Spectral Steed Whistle and use it to summon Torrent for faster travel and exploration.
While riding Torrent, players can press F during a jump to trigger an air jump, allowing for more dynamic movement and improved traversal across the world.
Torrent also supports configurable health, movement speed, jump strength, whistle cooldown, revival timing, fall handling, and healing items.
This adds an iconic Elden Ring inspired traversal mechanic and helps make exploration feel faster, smoother, and more rewarding.
Default keybind: F (Minecraft’s default swap offhand key)
Spirit Springs
Torrent can interact with spirit spring style launch areas depending on your configuration, allowing powerful vertical movement and more interesting world traversal.
Spirit Ashes
Players can obtain and use Spirit Ashes to summon spectral allies in combat. These summons provide additional support during battles, add more tactical depth, and strengthen the overall Elden Ring inspired RPG experience.
Starting Classes
Players can choose Elden Ring inspired starting classes through an in-game GUI with confirmation pages to prevent accidental selection.
Attribute Leveling
Players can spend Runes to improve:
- Vigor
- Mind
- Endurance
- Strength
- Dexterity
- Intelligence
- Faith
- Arcane
Soft Caps and Scaling
Attributes use meaningful scaling and soft caps, allowing real build diversity instead of simple linear number increases.
Smithing System
Elden includes a smithing system for upgrading equipment and managing smithing related progression. Server owners can configure smithing anvils and upgrade related content to better fit their own progression style.
Expanded RPG Content
The plugin also supports:
- Custom weapons
- Custom armor
- Ashes of War
- Spell tomes and spell progression
- Spirit Ashes
- Player profile GUI
- Smithing related progression systems
Custom Model Data Support
Weapons, armor, spells, Ashes of War, Spirit Ashes, flasks, Torrent items, and Rune drops can all be linked to CustomModelData through the config. This makes it easier to integrate custom resource packs or model systems without forcing a dependency on other plugins.
Persistent Storage
Important player data such as Runes, Grace progression, classes, and levels is stored persistently using SQLite.
Starting Classes
Elden includes multiple Elden Ring inspired starting classes, each built around a different playstyle and attribute spread.
Hero
A powerful melee class focused on Strength and survivability
Bandit
A nimble class with Dexterity and Arcane focused progression
Astrologer
A sorcery-focused class built around Intelligence and Mind
Warrior
A fast melee fighter with strong Dexterity
Prisoner
A hybrid class combining Dexterity and Intelligence
Confessor
A balanced Faith and melee hybrid
Wretch
A level 1 class with completely even starting attributes
Vagabond
A durable front-line fighter with strong Vigor and Strength
Prophet
A Faith-focused caster with supportive and offensive potential
Samurai
A refined weapon-focused class with strong Dexterity and balanced melee stats
Heavy Knight
A heavy melee class with high Endurance and Strength
Some class equipment and balance values may still be adjusted during beta.
Boss System
The boss system allows custom bosses to be spawned, managed, and connected to dedicated spawn points, stations, and portal setups. It is built to support larger encounters, progression-focused battles, and remembrance-related rewards.
Enemy System
The enemy system allows Elden-style overworld enemies to be spawned and managed through custom spawners. This creates more controlled combat encounters and helps make the world feel more alive and dangerous.
