What's new

Update Checker
The plugin now checks GitHub automatically on startup for a newer release. If an update is available, admins with playerstatssync.admin receive a clickable notification in chat on join — with direct links to SpigotMC and the GitHub release page. The check runs fully asynchronously so there is no impact on startup time or TPS.

Three version states are tracked:

• Up to date — green confirmation in /pss version
• Update available — yellow warning with clickable links to SpigotMC and GitHub
• Dev build — purple notice when your installed version is newer than the latest release

/pss version Command
A dedicated version command replaces the version info that was previously buried in /pss status. Run /pss version at any time to see your installed version, the latest release, and the current update state. If the check is still running when you execute the command, the result is sent to your chat automatically as soon as it completes — no need to re-run.

Changes

• Version information moved from /pss status to the new /pss version command — /pss status now focuses purely on database and sync state
• /pss version added to tab completion and help text
• Update checker respects a configurable notify-on-join toggle — set to false to suppress join notifications while keeping the startup log output

Configuration
Two new keys are added automatically to your config.yml on first start after the update — no manual changes needed:

Upgrade
Drop the new JAR into your plugins/ folder and restart. No database changes, no config migration required.
