A major KT update is now complete, focused on cleaner visuals, better performance, and a much smoother server-owner experience.
This update introduces a brand new particle performance system designed to keep effects looking premium without destroying FPS. Server owners can now control particle intensity globally with easy presets, advanced per-effect tuning, and adaptive TPS-based scaling. Heavy effects are now far more optimized, making the plugin much more suitable for fast-paced PvP and FFA environments.
Several major effects have also been optimized internally, including some of the most visually intensive ones, so they remain impressive while being much lighter on players’ clients. The goal of this update was not to make effects feel empty, but to make them cleaner, more efficient, and more usable on real servers.
Alongside the performance work, multiple quality-of-life and stability fixes were added. The /kt set <player> <effect> functionality has been improved, temporary structure effects like grave are now properly protected while active, and custom effects/custom particles are now handled much more safely to prevent common runtime issues and configuration problems.
firephoenix has also been reworked into a much safer and lighter version, and a smaller celestial-style preset has been added for servers that want elegant effects without too much visual clutter.
On top of that, the plugin configuration system has been completely reorganized. Instead of forcing everything into one large config file, KT now uses a cleaner multi-file setup, making it easier to manage messages, effects, economy, performance, GUI, events, and other settings separately.
This update is a big step forward for KT overall:
- better client performance
- cleaner premium visuals
- safer custom effect support
- improved command functionality
- better server-owner configuration workflow
- stronger stability for live PvP/FFA environments
More content and effect releases can now be built on top of this much cleaner foundation.
