We had bot attacks for like 2–3 months. Tried tons of plugins, but every of them didn’t give proper protection to my server. Every time the attack starts, bots were able to connect to the server even with all checks enabled (captcha, fall check, etc.). In case the big attack starts, they just crash the server with OOM errors.

Then I bought BotShield. Installed it when the server was under attack… in 15 seconds it blocked more than 250000 bot connections.

And for verification, it doesn’t have any captchas.. lol. BotShield doesn’t have such cumbersome methods to protect the network, but bots are not able to connect. Really, I don’t understand why, but it just works and this is the best part for me because I’m not a professional in settings.
