Requirements

IMPORTANT - API Setup
Before using live stock prices, you must create a free Finnhub API key.

1. Create a free account at Finnhub.
2. Open plugins/SMPStocks/config.yml
3. Replace:

finnhub-key: "PASTE_YOUR_FINNHUB_KEY_HERE"

with your API key.
4. Restart the server or run:

/stocksadmin reload

Without a Finnhub API key, stock prices will use fallback values.

Price Scaling
Minecraft economies usually cannot support real-world prices like:

• BTC = $115,000+
• BRK.A = $700,000+

To keep investing accessible, SMPStocks scales prices by default.

Example:

• Real BTC: $115,000
• In-game BTC: $1,150

Admins can change scaling values in config.yml to match their server economy or even use full real-world prices.

P.s. This is my first ever plugin for minecraft, coming from DayZ scripting, this is a bit of a change. If you have any other ideas, or general feedback regarding this plugin, please leave your feedback below.

If there is another way that I can pull the current market prices, please let me know, I just don't feel totally great about shipping my own key with the plugin.
