How NearbyCraft+ works
NearbyCraft+ adds a special workbench system that scans nearby containers and allows players to craft with the items stored inside them.
Players do not need to install any client-side mods. Everything works fully server-side on Paper.
Basic Usage
- Place or use the NearbyCraft+ workbench.
- NearbyCraft+ scans nearby containers within the configured range.
- Open the workbench menu.
- Browse items by category, use the search function, or open recipe previews.
- Craft items using materials from nearby chests.
Recipe Preview
The recipe preview shows players exactly what they need before crafting.
It displays:
- Needed items for the recipe
- Available items found in nearby containers
- Craftable amount based on the available materials
This makes it easy to see whether a recipe can be crafted before clicking.
Search Function
Players can use the search button in the workbench menu to filter materials.
Example search term:
axe
After entering a search term in chat, the workbench reopens with the active material filter.
To remove the active filter, right-click the search button.
Navigation
NearbyCraft+ supports category-based browsing and page navigation.
- Use categories to browse specific item groups.
- Use page buttons to move through large item lists.
- Use quick category navigation with left and right click.
Configuration
The scan range and other plugin options can be adjusted in the configuration file.
After changing the config, restart the server or reload the plugin depending on your setup.
Requirements
- Paper server
- Minecraft version supported by the plugin release
- No client-side mods required
