- Lootable Corpses — Items are captured at the moment of death and securely stored inside a corpse container at the death location.
- Multiple Render Modes — Choose between ArmorStand mode, ItemDisplay entities with custom models, or full Player/Mob model rendering.
- In-Game GUI Editor — Configure corpse behavior, visuals, permissions, and rules entirely in-game without editing YAML files.
- Pose Studio System — Create and preview custom corpse poses directly in the world using intuitive tools.
- Death Cause Mapping — Automatically apply different corpse poses depending on how the entity died (explosions, fall damage, drowning, etc).
- Animated Despawn Effects — Corpses can sink, spin, scale down, dissolve, jitter, or vanish using customizable animations.
- Mob Corpses — Vanilla mobs can also leave behind bodies, creating a more immersive world.
- MythicMobs Support — Fine-grained whitelist / blacklist controls for custom mobs to avoid duplicate death systems.
- Combat Logging Module — Optional logout-death handling ensures corpses spawn correctly even when players disconnect mid-combat.
- Reliable Cleanup Systems — Extensive safeguards ensure no orphaned entities, displays, or containers remain in your world.
- Environment-Aware Placement — Corpses intelligently position themselves on slabs, carpets, stairs, uneven terrain, and complex builds.
2) Player Corpses (Full Player Model Mode)
Full player models rendered on the ground with armor, held items, and custom poses applied.
3) Display Entity Corpses (Custom 3D Models)
Use resource-pack models to render fully custom corpse visuals using modern Display entities.
4) Mob Corpses (Vanilla)
Vanilla mobs — zombies, villagers, animals, bosses — can leave behind corpses when killed.
5) MythicMobs Integration
Whitelist or blacklist specific Mythic mobs to avoid conflicts with other death systems.
6) MASSIVE GUI (DeadBody Editor)

Corpses can gradually disappear using cinematic animations such as sinking, spinning, shrinking, or dissolving.
9) Countdown Nameplates
Optional nameplates can display corpse ownership and a live countdown until despawn.
10) Death Cause Pose Example
Configure different corpse poses depending on the cause of death.
Dead Body gives server owners deep configuration control:
-
- Select corpse render type (ArmorStand / ItemDisplay / PlayerModel)
- Automatically scale corpses based on entity size
- Define loot access permissions (owner-only, team, public, admin bypass)
- Configure timed despawn or despawn-on-empty behavior
- Customize nameplate style (flat labels or billboard displays)
- Adjust corpse interaction hitboxes
- Assign custom poses per death cause
- Map specific Mythic mobs to special behaviors
- Choose between GUI configuration or traditional YAML editing
Designed for modern Paper servers with performance and stability in mind:
• Smart entity tracking and lifecycle management
• Clean despawn and entity cleanup systems
• Optional persistence across server restarts
• No unsafe NMS dependencies
• Graceful fallback behavior when optional dependencies are missing
Required:
